Swiss Pancreas Foundation

Dear visitors,

In the name of the Swiss Pancreas Foundation, we would like to warmly welcome you to our website. The Swiss Pancreas Foundation, domiciled in Berne, is an independent, non-profit organization roused into existence by a group of people from Berne for the benefit of the Swiss population.

The pancreas plays a central role in both the digestive process and the regulation of a person's blood sugar levels. Pancreatic illnesses are currently on the increase. The mostly aggressively-behaving pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest tumor illnesses of our times. Alongside pancreatic cancer, however, there are a number of other pancreatic illnesses which can be successfully treated in specialist institutions.

The Foundation supplies information on pancreatic diseases to the general public, patients, and their loved ones. It also creates contacts with patients, specialists and institutions specializing in this field of medicine, and has set itself the target of becoming an important informational hub for pancreatic matters, and increasing knowledge on the subject in the long term.

Should there be points and questions you would like to raise with us, please contact us - we would be delighted to help you further. May we also invite you to visit our website (http://www.pankreas.ch): here you will not only find useful information on the subject of the pancreas, but also links and contacts which will illuminate the problems of pancreatic illnesses. Should you wish to offer the Swiss Pancreas Foundation your support, we will suggest a sensible way for you to do so.
